a bee sees Dee
and says – lordy, lordy!
you’re the sweetest honey
my many eyes did ever see.
can i bottle you up and
take you home,
and can i tell the hive i found
the oh-so sweetest golden
that beekind has ever known?

About…

hark…

Hark! the periled youth sing-
Regret over our elected King…
War on earth and mercy lost-
King and sinners reap the cost.
Joyless, all ye nations fall-
Isolated from the denizen’s call.

Hark…
(a backhanded anthem)

Hark! the periled youth sing-
Regret over our elected King…
War on earth and mercy lost-
King and sinners reap the cost.
Joyless, all ye nations fall-
Isolated from the denizen’s call.
And when the evangelical proclaim-
Christ reborn in our King by name,
Hark! the periled youth sing-
Regret over our elected King…

America, arose to be adored-
Now’s become worldly abhorred.
Long ago she lost her way-
When man’s greed came into play.
Veiled in politics for all to see-
Too long we’ve accepted this reality.
Now our hearts and minds must clear-
To live a life without fear.
Hark! the periled youth sing-
Regret over our elected King…

Remember the spirit of the Prince of Peace-
Remember piety doesn’t promise righteousness.
Light is the life for all that know-
A life of greed takes a world of toll.
And if we cherish the universe
Might we cherish the all-in-us.
So grab your good neighbor’s hand-
And shout out across the land:
Hark! the periled youth sing-
Regret over our elected King…

About…

a bee says i do

hence came to me a peculiar sting:
a passionate bee in a passionate fling.
thus pricked me to declare their devotion,
that I the one for their fatal embrace,
that I the one for their hara-kiri, their barb the sword,
once stabbed in me as a doctrine of devotion,
that this little bee found in me:
a worthy escort onto Oblivion’s Sea.

About…

“…” (in the beginning)

I faded away when I touched you
into a memory, of a dream, of a dandelion,
blown away by the winds of father fate.
I lost all my breath, when these lungs took you in,
like in the beginning when air was water,
and life was something shiny new
(we’d never know again.)

tumbleweed

Contemplative is how I roll…
Down this hill-gathering-speed
And losing perception,
Until all I see, is me, is me, is me.
With my head tucked in,
Listening to my anxious heart.
…and it’s not because I’m
Dizzy and forgetful,
That my ignorance is something
Glaring.
But a rolling stone gathers no moss-
Or so I’m told-
Because bounding down this hillside
It’s hard to gather anything
At all.

…a purdy girl came in light camo’
and washed denim, jangling my way
with her baggy legs swishing against another
in some, hypnotic, and, subliminal, way,
she turns away before her face can truly grace,
and instead I’m hammered by my heart’s fervor
as her hair cascades over her shoulders
in the descent of a burgundy waterfall.
She disappears ‘round a corner,
only to appear ‘round the next,
and sashayed my way with a reserved smile,
that spoke more of things we left unheard.
