pledge of allegiance. two point oh.

i pledge allegiance to the Flag
of a country i no longer understand,
and to the Republic that barely stands,
one Nation, divided by god, ironically
promising Liberty and Justice for all.

i pledge allegiance to the Idea,
of a country founded with the blood of patriots,
and to the Constitution by which it stands,
our Nation, under Us alone, indivisible,
when we have Liberty and Justice for all.
